Irfan Mansuri

Dr. Irfan Mansuri is a physicist, educator and software developer. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics and has spent more than 13 years in academia as an Associate Professor. He is the founder of IrfanEdu, where that teaching background shapes every explanation, worked example and calculator published on the site.

Academic and research background

Dr. Mansuri earned both his Master’s degree and his Ph.D. in Physics from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, India. His training is in experimental and analytical physics. He has authored 14 international research papers, and has held research fellowships at three institutions:

  • CSIR — Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India
  • Max Planck Institute, Germany
  • Synchrotron Light Research Institute, Thailand

Synchrotron and Max Planck work is measurement-heavy: you are handed raw data and have to decide what it actually supports. That habit — check the number, then explain why it is the number — is the standard the guides on this site are written to.

Teaching

Dr. Mansuri teaches at IIST, Indore. Across 13+ years as an Associate Professor he has taught at high school, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Teaching the same concept to a school student and to a postgraduate makes it obvious where explanations usually break down, and which step a textbook tends to skip. IrfanEdu’s material is built around those specific sticking points rather than around a syllabus checklist.

Building IrfanEdu

Alongside his academic work, Dr. Mansuri is a full-stack developer specialising in AI-driven software. He built and scaled IrfanEdu.com and an RRB ALP preparation platform serving thousands of competitive-exam aspirants with structured lessons and test series.

His other released products include ACT, an AI-driven customer-support platform that unifies WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and email, with a companion app published on the Google Play Store; and Smart Media Folders, a WordPress plugin offering drag-and-drop media organisation with AI-assisted auto-categorisation.

His technical work covers Python, SQL, Pandas and NumPy for data science and machine learning; integrations with OpenAI, OpenRouter, Claude and Llama; and PHP, Node.js, React and JavaScript across web and mobile.

This is why the calculators on IrfanEdu are working tools rather than screenshots — the person checking the physics is the same person writing the JavaScript.

Editorial approach

Every guide on IrfanEdu is written to be checkable. Formulas are stated in full, worked examples carry their arithmetic, and calculators show the steps that produced the answer instead of only the result. Where a topic has a common misconception, it is named directly.
