NCLEX Ace 360 is an NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN study app published by IrfanEdu. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, why, and how to get rid of it. It covers the Android app distributed on Google Play under the package name com.irfanedu.nclex.

The short version

  • You sign in with Google. We receive your email address, your name and your profile picture.
  • Your study progress lives on your phone. It is only copied to our servers if you switch on Cloud backup, which is off by default.
  • We never see your card details. Google Play handles all payments.
  • We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
  • You can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, or from this page.

What we collect

DataWhyWhere it goes
Email address, name, profile photo, and a Google account identifier To sign you in and to keep your subscription attached to your account Firebase Authentication (Google LLC)
Study progress: questions attempted, answers correct, accuracy by topic, study time, streaks, XP, flashcard review state, bookmarks and badges To show your Progress screen and pick what to review next Stored on your device. Copied to Cloud Firestore only when you turn on Cloud backup in Profile → Sync and storage
A device identifier generated by the app To enforce one active device per account, and to merge backups sensibly Sent with your backup, only when Cloud backup is on
Subscription status and the Google Play purchase token To unlock Pro features and to recognise a cancellation Google Play Billing
Crash reports and diagnostic data: device model, Android version, and the technical detail of a crash To find and fix the bugs that break the app Firebase Crashlytics. You can switch this off in Profile → Send crash reports
Basic app usage events and a resettable app instance identifier To understand which features get used, in aggregate Google Analytics for Firebase

What we deliberately do not collect

  • We do not attach your identity to crash reports. The app never sets a user ID or email on Crashlytics, and never sends your answers there. That is what makes the opt-out toggle honest.
  • We do not collect your location. The app requests no location permission.
  • We do not read your contacts, photos, files, microphone or camera. The app requests none of those permissions.
  • We never receive your payment details. Card and billing information is handled entirely by Google Play and is never visible to us.
  • We do not sell or rent personal data, and we run no advertising SDKs.

Permissions the app asks for

  • Internet and network state — to sign in, check your subscription and, if you enable it, back up your progress. The app is otherwise fully usable offline.
  • Vibration — for haptic feedback when you answer a question. You can turn this off in Profile.

Where your data is processed

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Crashlytics and Analytics) and Google Play Billing. Data is processed on Google’s infrastructure and may be stored on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Google’s own handling of that data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

  • On your device — until you delete your account, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app.
  • Your account and cloud backup — until you delete your account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
  • Crash reports — retained by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.
  • Analytics events — retained for up to 14 months.
  • Payment records — held by Google Play under their own retention rules, and by us only as the fact that an account is or was subscribed.

Your choices

  • Turn off cloud backup — Profile → Sync and storage. Your progress then never leaves your phone.
  • Turn off crash reporting — Profile → Send crash reports. This takes effect immediately, not at the next launch.
  • Sign out — Profile → the sign-out button. Your progress stays on the device for when you sign back in.
  • Delete your account — Profile → Account and privacy → Delete account, or follow the instructions here. This erases your account and all of your study data, on the device and on our servers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. The delete-account route above satisfies erasure immediately and without needing to contact us. For anything else, write to us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

NCLEX Ace 360 is a professional exam-preparation tool intended for nursing students and graduates. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
