IrfanEdu (“we”, “us”, “our”) builds the ACT Practice Test Android app (the “Service”). This policy explains what information the Service collects, how we use it, and how you can access or delete it. ACT Practice Test is available in Free and Pro versions. The Free version is supported by Google AdMob advertising and may use advertising-related identifiers for serving and measuring ads. The Pro version is ad-free and does not display advertisements. The Pro version is currently available as a one-time purchase of $19 through Google Play, with no subscription or recurring charge.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Information we collect

Account information (Google Sign-In)

Signing in is required to save progress and to unlock your purchase across app reinstalls. We use Firebase Authentication with Google Sign-In, which shares with us:

  • Your name and email address, as registered on your Google account
  • A unique account identifier (Firebase UID)

Study activity and scores

  • Every practice question you answer — the option selected, whether it was correct, and time taken
  • Mock-test results and section scores
  • Rapid Fire / game-mode scores, streaks, and leaderboard entries
  • Feedback messages you choose to send us (your name, email, and message text)

Purchase information

Your $19 lifetime unlock is purchased and paid for entirely through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card, UPI, or other payment details. What we do store, to verify and protect your purchase, is: the product ID, Google order ID, and Google Play purchase token, plus the verification timestamp.

Device & technical information

  • A device identifier and device name, used only to enforce the single-device license lock that comes with a one-time-purchase app (so an unlock can’t be shared across unlimited devices at once)
  • Standard diagnostic data — app version, OS version, and crash/error logs — collected automatically through Firebase
  • Push-notification delivery tokens, used only to send you app-related notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging
  • Contains advertising SDKs and uses the advertising identifier (AD_ID) to support ad serving and measurement
  • What we do not collect

    • No payment card, UPI, or bank details — Google Play Billing handles all payment data
    • No location data, contacts, camera, or microphone access

    How we use your information

We use the information above solely to operate and improve the Service: authenticating you, syncing your progress and scores across devices, verifying and restoring your purchase, enforcing the one-device license, responding to feedback and support requests, sending you app-related push notifications, and diagnosing crashes.

    Third-party services

The Service relies on the following third-party providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:

    ProviderPurpose
Google Firebase AuthenticationGoogle Sign-In and account identity
    Firebase Cloud MessagingDelivering push notifications
Google Play BillingProcessing your one-time $19 purchase
Cloudflare (Workers & D1 database)Hosting our backend and storing app data

    Data retention

We keep your account and activity data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (see below), your personal data is removed within 30 days. The one exception is your purchase record: we retain proof of sale for tax and accounting purposes, but your email address is replaced with a one-way hash that cannot be turned back into an email — kept only so that if you sign back in with the same Google account, your paid unlock can be restored.

    Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is ever 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    Your rights & account deletion

You can delete your account and personal data at any time, either directly in the app or by emailing us. Full instructions, and exactly what is deleted versus retained, are on our Account & Data Deletion page.

    Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us using the details below.

    Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
